League of Legends Error ?? Day 4 tutorial and hot keys

You may have noticed already; and if you haven't you surely will, this game has a lot of errors and little spurts of down server time. No need to panic, most of the time you can still play minus being able to view some of the special graphics. This game is constantly updated and added to every day so the creators have a large plate to fill and they are doing it for free so don't go dissing the game on some forum or Facebook, they work very hard to bring you the best RTS game on the market, arguably.

I have now been playing for 3 days and I have finally gotten on a good winning streak. You should be able to tell by this chart that I am not killing any champions, only assisting and dying, but my team work skills are whats pushing the wins.

Part of why I wasn't getting any kills was because I had to click on my spells and attacks then align and shoot while the other player effortlessly attacked and killed me before I could make damage. So how do I use my spells quicker? What are the hot keys? Its easy really, looking at your play screen(sorry I don't have an example) you can see right under your attacks the letters corresponding to them. Q,W,E,R and for your magic F,G. To jump back to the base you press B. Now a level 5 and making friends, I hope you are doing well your selves! Send me your questions or suggest another game and I will get right back to you. -Roy Stanley

League of Legends Day 3 tutorial How to add friends, chat, and navigate options

If you've been keeping up with the blog so far, you should have leveled up a tad and gotten to the point where you have even more questions like: How do I add friends? How do I join a game? How can I contact some one out side of the game? What are honor points? Why don't I have a Champion yet I can still play? How can I stop harassment? Yea hopefully not that last one!

First off lets start by showing you the friend options. If some one worked well with you they may have already added you and you would have had to accept in a pop up window, but you still don't know how they did that. In this picture you can see I've pressed the bottom friend button and the side bar opened up. You can select the search for friends option, or look at people you have recently played with. When looking at a list of players that are not your friends, you may right click and add them, invite them to chat, or request a rematch. You may even block some one that is not playing friendly. The advantage to adding friends you work well with is knowing those people will give you an upthumb vote at the end of the game or "honor" and you get points for that on your profile.

The second tab at the bottom is the proper way to start or find a chat but you may also right click to send a message to some one. Often when you join a group game, a group chat will open, but these are private for you and one other person unless you start a group chat your self.

Last is the third tab. This is your notifications, some one added you, some one invited you to a game, or gave you something. You should click here often, because you don't want to ignore a game invite and leave your friends hanging. Unfortunately this game does not have head set interaction so you will have to rely on these chat options and your friends replying in a timely manner.

Now, why don't I have a champion? You have to buy your champion just like you do every thing else. However even the cheapest champion cost way more than you probably have. Even after you finally buy one, you are tasked with the custom skin and extras to go with it. So get back in the arena and keep on fighting! The more wins, the more points. All the more reason to add the guys you do really well with because , trust me, if you are on a loosing streak, you are doing it wrong. ;) This Champion is my favorite and I plan to buy her and this skin, I'm sure you can guess why..

I also love dragons, and christina with the bow and arrow... rawr... We'll see!

League of Legends day two tutorial

Now that you've got all the install hassle and updates out of the way you are probably itching to get out of noob status! If you haven't already played the tutorial game, do that. Other wise you may have already started playing with team mates and exploring different types of games. In that case the question is raised "If I am playing other low level opponents why are they killing me so much faster? I have tried selecting all the random buttons I don't know how to use and accomplished nothing.." It is okay for you to loose your first few games, and horribly at that. At least by the third game you should have a good idea of whats going on. The game is fairly simple, the maps are not big and the concept is clear. However the things you buy in the game only help you during that game, so now it is time to show you how to improve your game.
After playing a few games you have racked up some fight points and gold, go to the store in the top right corner. Then select Runes on the left. You are given a list of types of runes and I will show you where these go in a second. You ideally need one of each but chances are you have not unlocked them yet, however this is where you buy them when you need them. Now go to your profile, and again, select runes.
You can hold the courser over the hexagon and it will tell you if it is unlocked. Then you either purchase the item it requires or select it from a drop down menu to your left and drag it to the hexagon. You should check this after every game if you are playing alone because you always want to be improving.

League of Legends (LoL) Read before Installation

I just recently was turned onto a popular game called League of Legends. It is a FREE download right off the leagueoflegends.com site so don't try to torrent this game; you will not get all the updates or worse, you may get a virus from the torrent vir so stick to the site. This download on any connection is draining on the hour glass. It can be confusing as well. First download is an Exe. file and then another after opening it to start streaming the information in. Either the second or third download will appear to look like an installation, and will even prompt you so. However this 3-8 hour (I'm not kidding) installation is just a streaming update post install. Luckily if you have a good internet connection you should be able to start this process and move on with your life to return later and it is well worth the hassle. The final install takes no more than 5 minutes and then its on to the game. UNFORTUNATELY that does not mean playing...YET. You still have more updates do sit through to take another 10 minutes. But while you are waiting be looking at the websites noob help tips and tricks. Your computer may crash, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO OPEN THE INSTALL FILE THROUGH WINDOWS INSTALL MANAGER. If your computer crashed simply go to the download folder (ignore the already downloaded folder on your desktop with the install exe in it) and double click the file named leagueoflegends.exe with the logo as the thumbnail. That will take you back to where you left off when the computer crashed unlike doing it the manual way with windows. (even windows 8)
